Portal Systems AG is an independent provider of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) and software solutions based on Microsoft 365 and SharePoint. We have more than 20 years of experience in the ECM environment and offer our 300+ customers high-quality and standardised solutions for document management (DMS), contract management, document control in quality management and invoice processing under the “Shareflex” brand.

Portal Systems AG is headquartered in the historic Chilehaus in the Hanseatic City of Hamburg and has local offices in Potsdam, Munich and Nuremberg. Company History – Evolving with Change
The Origins
In 2001, André Hoseas founded PSC Portal Systems Consulting GmbH in Hamburg, Germany. From the very beginning, the main focus of the company was on ECM (Enterprise Content Management) services. With the arrival of a second partner, Frank von Orlikowski, in 2003 and the opening of a branch office in Potsdam the following year, the product range was extended to include Microsoft SharePoint.
The Company Portal Systems – Transforming from a Systems House to a Product House
In early 2013, Portal Systems began developing the Business Application Framework for SharePoint (known as Shareflex since September 2017). With this in-house development, it is possible to create, maintain and service individual SharePoint applications quickly and easily. This milestone marks Portal Systems’ arrival as a full-fledged product supplier. To further strengthen its position, the previously independent companies in Hamburg and Potsdam were finally merged in 2014.
The transformation of Portal Systems into a public limited company and the expansion of the partner network
Another milestone in the history of Portal Systems is its transformation into a public limited company, which was completed in November 2018. This step ensures that the company will be in the best possible position to continue its growth. In the run-up to the conversion to a public limited company, appropriate measures were taken and structures created. These include the clear delineation of business areas and the establishment of a reporting and controlling system. Alongside increasing our equity, the regular certification of our product development, the introduction of an internal ISO 9001 quality management system and the establishment and expansion of our partner distribution system are all part of our growth and sustainability strategy. As a result, we have continued to expand our network of partners over the past few years, so that we now have a whole range of partnerships with well-known system houses and Dynamics 365 providers.
