In what cases is Shareflex Online used?
With the standard version of Microsoft Office 365 you already obtain a wide range of functions and tools for document management or the automation of tasks and processes, such as Microsoft Power Automate, Power Apps or Power BI. Microsoft Teams, OneDrive and Teams and SharePoint Online also give end users the opportunity to participate in processes or edit documents.
Shareflex Online and the Microsoft Office 365 tools work hand in hand. This is because the Shareflex product management takes meticulous care to ensure that the functionalities of both systems complement each other seamlessly. This allows us to concentrate on providing all the functions and tools with Shareflex, which are additionally required for holistic business applications.
At the same time, new Microsoft Office 365 functions are always immediately available to all Shareflex customers.
Software as a Service – “Shared” or “dedicated”
All solutions belonging to the Shareflex Online product family are provided as “Software as a Service” (SaaS). They can be operated cost-effectively in a multi-tenant environment or alternatively in a separate “dedicated” environment.
Simply put, “Shareflex SaaS” is the “engine” for all business applications. Because, in contrast to SharePoint On-Premises, no programmes can be installed directly on SharePoint Online. Therefore, Shareflex customers just have to register the “Shareflex App” in their Microsoft Office 365 environment. Once they have activated and deployed Shareflex, they can immediately start working productively.
Managing documents securely online
Shareflex SaaS, just like Microsoft Office 365, is based exclusively on the Microsoft Azure platform. And all data and documents captured with the Shareflex Online solutions are always stored in your company’s Office 365 or Microsoft 365 tenant. Shareflex solely stores the configurations of the respective business application. This ensures that your data and documents “never leave the house”.
(Almost) unlimited capacities
In the past, it was mainly the technical limits and restrictions of SharePoint On-premises environments that prevented a broad and holistic use, e.g. as an Enterprise Content Management platform.
SharePoint Online, on the other hand, with 30 million documents per document library, 25 TByte capacity per website collection and 12.5 Exabyte capacity per client, offers an outstanding basis for managing even large volumes of data and documents.
